My Homestead Life
My husband and I live on a small homestead in NorCal with 2 acres to steward. I raise chickens and sheep with regenerative agriculture methods.
The whole earth is full of God’s Glory and I am called to steward and cultivate her according to God’s design. Working with nature, not against nature.
Romans 8: 19-23 is my favorite passage in the Bible,
19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Creation awaits the redemption of its fullness, while she waits, we can do our best to steward the Earth well.
Not only creation, but our bodies wait for fullness as well. This is why I place a huge emphasis on living naturally.
I created this blog because I love creating a natural and welcoming home environment. I hope you feel welcome to journey with me and allow me to inspire you to live a natural lifestyle too.
Carlisle Bee; About Me
Growing up in Texas, I moved to LA when I was 19. My profession for 7 years was a massage therapist selling essential oils.
I met the love of my life in Spain at a meditation retreat. One year later, we were married living the city life in LA. We soon discovered big cities were not for us, so we moved to the beautiful mountains.
Currently, we are expecting our first homestead baby. We are over the moon for her already!
Homestead Genesis
In 2019, I began to have a deep heart for farm animals and how they are treated. I attended our local community college to understand agriculture and completed my Associate’s Degree in Animal Science.
This led us to buy our first home on 2 acres, where I live out my passions daily. Journey with me as I learn how to homestead and gain new skills every year!
Currently on the Homestead
It is early Spring and we just harvested our sheep who are now in the freezer. We’ve had delicious meals from their lives already.
I am so happy to have the honor to raise them and continue the circle of Life.
I made a video about the Circle of Life here on our homestead that you can watch by clicking this link.
