Hey, Honey. Get Creative this Spring With These Honey Bee-Themed Baby Shower Ideas ๐.
A Honey Bee-Themed Baby Shower for Mommy to Bee is such a sweet theme inspired by real honeybees and the intricate design and function they offer nature.
Around springtime, the bees come out and forage for nectar. It is such a wonderful time to have a baby shower and be full of life as the bees look for flowers.
Fun fact about me: I aspire to become a natural beekeeper. In my research of getting started keeping bees, I became pregnant with my little honey girl and decided to save the beekeeping adventure for next year.
Thus, it birthed the Honey Bee-Themed Baby Shower for Mommy to Bee. This theme is perfect because it offers a gender-neutral approach for those waiting to discover their baby’s gender.
Follow along as I share the Ultimate Guide For A Spring baby shower! Let’s get buzzin’!
Mommy-to-Bee Invitations
I chose these invites from a wonderful shop on Etsy, EmilyLanePaperie. They fit wonderfully with my Bee theme and they are just so precious. Use my code for a special discount CARLISLE40. The bundle comes with everything from the invite to games, food labels, thank you cards, etc. all with the matching bee theme! They were easy to print out at home with a bit of adjusting the printer settings.
Honey Bee-Themed Decorations
The details are everything when it comes to baby showers. Set the intention and theme with the smallest details. They are worth the extra touch, trust me!
A clothesline with baby clothes is the perfect touch.

Spring Baby Shower Welcome Table
The welcome table should be placed where people enter the party, are easily seen and visible straight away. Include the announcement of the little one’s arrival on the welcome table, and classic games like ‘Don’t Say Baby’ and ‘How Big is Her Belly?’.
Vintage baby items are always a good choice. These are real leather sandals from the 30’s.
Next to the welcome table is an ideal spot for guests to place their cards and gifts. We had a family heirloom bassinet that held the baby’s gifts and cards.
Games
As I mentioned before, the shop I bought the printable games from EmilyLanePaperie, use Carlisle40 at checkout for a discount! She offers 35 different games. Just remember that you will need prizes for the winners, which can add up.
In a 3-hour party, it is possible to play 6 games, including the 2 games on the Welcome Table.
Beforehand, prep at least 10 prizes to give to runner-ups or the guest who arrives first.
Prizes can be theme-related such as:
- Honey lotion and cream
- Journals with bees on them
- Wildflowers (native to that region)
- Beeswax food wraps
- A jar of local honey
- A bee mug
- Beeswax candles
All these options are non-toxic and good for your guests as well.

DIY Hexagon Balloon Arch
Let’s talk about this beautiful balloon arch. This easy DIY is possible with plywood, a jig saw, paint, and balloons. It makes a great photo backdrop and a lovely spot for the Mama to ‘Bee ๐’ to open gifts.
The exact paint match for these colors is from Valspar: Poisiden’s Gold and Strawberry Malt.
The honeycomb details came together nicely with a few popsicle sticks and a glue gun!

Honey Bee-Themed Desserts and Food
Of course, if you’re hosting a party, there must be food and cake ๐ฐ ! I chose steak tacos with homemade cakes and doughnuts. You can check out the homemade doughnut recipe here. This doughnut beehive is complete with swarming bees on sticks that you can purchase with this link.
I may earn commissions from these links, at no extra cost to you.
These cakes were thoughtfully made by the wonderful ‘Grandma to Bee’.

Adding the sweetness of honey to tea and lemonade was a wonderful addition to wash down the tacos.
